Andover Business - Mad Doc

Mad Doc was a software company based in Ballardvale on Burtt Road. It was owned by Dr. Ian Lane Davis who was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce in 2007. Davis started the company in 1999 and completed a number of projects for government agencies, academic research communities and the video game industry.

In 2008, Davis sold Mad Doc to Rockstar Games and has become the Rockstar New England branch. Davis is still head of the local studio operating on Burtt Road.
