Mary Dominick Chivers compiled stories about her father's life in Cody, Wyoming. DeWitt Dominick he managed both a dude ranch and a medical practice in the early 1900's - the days of the cowboy. Dominick blended the history and culture era with tales of his medical practice and experiences running a dude ranch. It was not until the 1970's that he actually recorded the stories, some on paper and on tape. Ms. Chivers transcribed and assembled them into a book titled Doctor Dewey. The book was self published.
