In 1921 William Wood, president of the American Woolen Company and a Cuttyhunk Fishing Club member, purchased shares and property of the club. Mr. Wood's son sold many of the houses after Wood's death in 1925. The original clubhouse sold in 1943 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore.
