Taylor Rental moved from 201 North Main Street in Shawsheen Plaza in July 2006 to 637 Andover Street, Lawrence. It had been at the Andover location for 40 years.

Allen Hinton was the first person in New England to exclusively sell ice cream. Hinton, an ex-slave and waiter at the Theological Seminary, began selling ice cream in 1877. The stand was located on Hidden Road and was operated until 1930 by Hinton's heirs.

Allen Hinton was the first person in New England to exclusively sell ice cream. Hinton, an ex-slave and waiter at the Theological Seminary, began selling ice cream in 1877. The stand was located on Hidden Road and was operated until 1930 by Hinton's heirs.
