Several of Howard Ames Coon's (1890-1997)water colors hang in Memorial Hall Library. These include Benjamin Abbot's Homestead Rose Cottage and Ballardvale.
Howard Ames Coon was borne on May 7, 1890 in DeRuter, New York, and moved to Ballardvale in 1930 - later moving to Gloucester. He taught art and Abbott Academy. Several of Howard Ames Coon's (1890-1997) watercolors hang in Memorial Hall Library, [http://www.mhl.org/art including Benjamin Abbot's Homestead Rose Cottage and Ballardvale]. Coon studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and painted both watercolors art oil.

Howard Ames Coon was borne on May 7, 1890 in DeRuter, New York, and moved to Ballardvale in 1930 - later moving to Gloucester. He taught art and Abbott Academy.
