Broadfields estate, his 14-acre home in Andover, was designed by Percival Gallagher and James Sturges Pray of Olmsted Brothers (Brookline, Mass.) and planted during 1905-1920. Upon his death on June 3, 1998, he endowed the Hornbeck Fund at Harvard for teaching and research in landscape architecture.
