Originally named the Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School, The Greater Lawrence Technical High School (GLTS) received a charter in 1963 and opened in September, 1965. [1]
Students attend from Andover, North Andover, Methuen, and Lawrence.

- In May of 2010, it was announced that John Lavoie, GLTS alumni and former carpentry teacher would take the helm of the regional school as Superintendent. Lavoie had previously been the Superintendent and Curriculum Director at the Greater Lowell Technical High School. [4]
