Rabbi Edward Friedman began leading Congregation Beth Israel in 2009.   
Congregation Beth Israel on Boutwell Road began with the merging of Temple Beth-El of Lowell and Andover's Congregation Tifereth Israel in 2007.  Rabbi Edward Friedman began leading Congregation Beth Israel in 2009.  Rabbi Howard Mandell began his tenure on July 15, 2013, replacing Rabbi Friedman after his contract expired.
