1. The tall flagpole on Ballardvale Green is dedicated to the memory of Martha Byington, the first librarian at Memorial Hall Library's Ballarvale Branch.
2. A smaller flagpole is dedicated to John W. Reading who was killed in World War II.
3. The Vietnam & Korean Wars Memorial lists the names of ten men: 6 killed in Vietnam and 4 killed in Korea.
