In 2006, Christ Church teamed up with Grace Church in Lawrence to open Esperanza Academy, a free private school to educate middle-school girls.
Christ Church began a capital campaign, "Renew and Rejoice," in 2008 to replace its organ. In November, 2011, the new organ was delivered.
