Temple Emmanuel was founded in Lawrence, Mass in 1920 at the corner of Lowell and Milton Streets. [1] [2] In 1979, the congregation's Torah was hand carried by relay runners to a new house of worship in Andover. [3] The new temple opened Friday November 22, 1979." [4]
Rabbi Robert Goldstein of Temple Emanuel was awarded the Chamber of Commerce Service Award in 2004.
