The ''Andover Advertiser'' was the newspaper of record for the Town of Andover, Massachusetts from February 19, 1853 to February 10, 1866. It was continued by the ''Lawrence American''. Founded in 1853 by publisher John D. Flagg, The Andover Advertiser masthead featured the slogan, " The life of agriculture trade and commerce is a good advertising medium."
