The groundbreaking ceremony for the Bancroft Elementary School project was held on October 4, 2012. Town Meeting approved the $44 million school.
In February 2013, a Special Town Meeting was held to approve an additional $5.7 million to complete the Bancroft School construction project.
In October 2014, students, parents, school and town leaders, and state officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony to formally open the new Bancroft School.[1]
