In 1968, after the February vacation, students enrolled at Andover Junior High were divided between two new schools: 600 students moved to the new West Junior High on Shawsheen Road, while 623 students remained at the Bartlet Street location, known as East Junior High. [1]

In 1988, West Junior High was renamed West Middle School.[2] REFERENCES
