It would save a lot of everyone's time if the new flood plane maps were available online, instead of coming down to the Conservation dept office! The FEMA site only has the very old 1989 map to view.

Flood plain maps availability

According to an October 1, 2009 Townsman article, the new flood plain maps are being produced for Andover. I could not find a date when these are scheduled to be released. I emailed the Conservation Department to determine if they now this.

if the cost is not prohibitive, the library would consider purchasing the updated maps.

You can reach me directly to discuss this, if you'd like. My email is esathan@mhl.org. My phone number is 978-623-8401 Ext. 17.
