The quilts hanging on the stairway in Memorial Hall Library are done by Ruth McDowell, a nationally recognized art quilter. She was active in the Quilters Connection guild in Arlington, MA. Freesias, 1988, and The Limb, 1988 appear in her book Art and Inspirations. The book is a journey of her life and quilts.
