The Andover Surgery Center, located in Doctors Park on Haverhill Street, was founded in 1985 as Massachusetts' first free-standing surgery center. It is owned and operated by 18 area physicians and is managed by United Medical System. At one point the hospital was associated with Lawrence General Hospital. The facility is used to perform day surgeries.
