The work of Andover outdoorsman, writer and illustrator, William Harnden Foster, (1886 - 1941) was featured in several national magazines including ''Scribners,'' ''The Saturday Evening Post,'' ''Harper's Monthly'' and ''Scientific American''. <ref> William Harnden Foster obituary, The Andover Townsman, November 6, 1941, p. 9. </ref> He was the editor of two magazines: ''National Sportsman'' and ''Hunting and Fishing'' and a pioneer in the development of skeet shooting. The work of Andover outdoorsman, writer and illustrator, William Harnden Foster, (1886 - 1941) was featured in several national magazines including Scribners, The Saturday Evening Post, Harper's Monthly and Scientific American.
