  • Exsultemus was founded in 2003 by Andover native Shannon Canavin "to explore the rich, undiscovered repertoire of the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque Periods" through vocal performance in Boston and Andover.
  • Exsultemus means Let us Rejoice. It is the ensemble in residence at the First Lutheran Church in Cambridge.
  • Shannon Canavin graduated from Phillips Academy in 1991, then New England Conservatory and, finally Case Western University where she earned a master's degree, specializing in early music persformance practices. She has also been a member of the Treble chorus of New England.
