The Andover National League made the first trip by a Massachusetts team to the Little League World's Series in Willimasport, PA in August, 1988.  They lost to Spring, Texas 8-2. The team was managed by Jim Arnold and coached by Red Harris.

Little League baseball began in Andover in 1951.
