In 1973 the New England Library Board, representing the state libraries of 6 New England states, founded the New England Document Conservation Center. The Facility was meant to serve the needs of a clientele with only modest resources to support preservation. It was first located on School Street, Andover, MA. Today it is housed in 100 Brickstone Square and serves to preserve documents from all over the world.
