When the structures (ladders, tires and slides) of Dragon's Lair playground located at Bancroft School became dangerous in 2000, the playground was demolished. On November 12, 2000 Dragon's Lair 2000 re-opened funded by PTO fundraising and a $40,000 donation from the family of Yogan Patel, a student of the school who died of cancer in 1999.

Dragon's Lair Playground
