ElinaMedia Inc. began in 2006 as the result of a heated political debate among friends. The two married couples, Chris and Elizabeth Welch and Rina and John Tenore, came up with the business plan after watching an episode of John Stewart's "Daily Show". The four created two talking bottle openers that repeat quotes from president George W. Bush and Governor of Vermont Howard Dean.
