  • After attending Berklee College of Music for 3 years, Ken Gibson hoped to be a successful guitar player. He had serious goals for his music. When they didn’t work out, He sold his guitar and became a fine furniture and cabinet maker. He concentrated on his new career for many years, then in his early 40s he bought a new guitar and reconnected to his passion.

  • He felt he would like to play music and lead a tribute band, but thought It might be “cheesy” until he heard a good friend play in a Dave Matthews tribute band.

  • In 2002, he formed a Neil Young tribute band called Rust Never Sleeps. Other members included Mike Garron of North Andover (bass), Scott Meneades of Salem NH (drums), Chuck Nemitz of Natick (guitar), and Bruce Diamond of Rochester NY (keyboard, fiddle and mandolin.)

  • Ken Gibson has since bought over a dozen quitars, and Rust Never Sleeps has played gigs from Lawrence, to the Topsfield Fair, to BB King’s Blues Club in New York City.
