Gerber, Alyson

Alyson Gerber wrote a chapter in Chicken Soup for the Soul: the Magic of Mothers and Daughters. Her chapter recounts her struggle with feelings of humiliation when, at age 11, she wore a brace for scoliosis. Her mother had also had scoliosis as a young teen and was able to offer valuable emotional support.
