The Osgood House in West Andover was the home of Rev. David Osgood, D.D., a well-known minister who graduated from Harvard College in 1771. It was also residence to patriot and orator James Otis who died there in 1783 after being struck by lightning while standing in the doorway. Otis was the first to say, "Taxation without representation is tyranny."
